Since setting out on our bicycle tour from London in March 2010 we have spent a chilly spring time cycling the Pyrenees in Spain, paddled our way along the Gorges de L'Ardeche in France, before ducking across the border into Italy, the home of what we think is some of the most cyclist friendly food in Europe.

As summer really got into full swing we caught a ferry to spend some time camping along the coast of Croatia, then cycling into some unexpected hospitality in Bosnia. We couldnt resist a few days following the Danube river bicycle touring route before drifting south into Bulgaria entering what felt like our most remote cycle touring to date.

We bicycled into Istanbul and then continued east experiencing some trying times with punctures before we reached Cappadocia and spent more than a week relaxing and celebrating the end of the first leg of our cycle tour.
