This route map documents our trip from London to New Zealand which started on 24th March 2010. The markers below shows our route so far, our original planned route and reader suggestions.

• Our route so far is plotted by taking a GPS reading each night of the trip. You can also view this information with accompanying photos on our where we sleep slideshow.
• The original planned route markers were added as we researched route options before leaving London. We added further markers as our plans for the second leg started firming up in Istanbul. Some of these are wishful thinking.
• To add a reader suggestion, click on the place you'd like us to visit. You can add some details about the place you have clicked on in a pop-up box. Don't worry about making it 100% accurate on the map as we will contact you for more details if we plan to visit the spot you suggested.

We are currently planning the continuation of our trip and thin we'll head towards South East Asia via Russia, Mongolia and China so will be updating this page as we investigate options.
